Congratulations to Jamie Leask on gaining his NACS gas certification in March 2019. Marstons are a Gas Safe registered company so Jamie can now carry out gas repairs and installations safely.
Jamie joined Marstons in September 2017 having already attained his NVQ 2 plumbing certificate while he worked as a maintenance plumber for Wilmot Dixon, Lovells and Mears.
Congratulations also to Dave for all the support and time given Jamie . Dave has trained many plumbers over the years , some who still work for Marstons as subcontractors. Dave joined Marstons from school in 1981 and qualified several years later .Dave is pictured collecting his certificate at the tender age of 18 . Jamie's certificate arrived in the post .

Marstons have trained a long line of plumbers starting with William Marston himself who became a plumber having trained as a zinc worker when apprenticed to his father in Battersea . William is pictured in the front row sitting second from the left while working for Roffey’s of Putney shortly before he set up his own company in 1895

William trained Bob Bence who was taken on as an apprentice plumber in 1901
Bob trained Buddy Wright who played for the victorious Marston football team who won the amateur league cup final at Craven Cottage in 1934

Buddy then trained Bill Polden
Bill is pictured in the centre smiling while on a Marston Beano in the late 1940’s.
Bill trained Dave in the 1980's shortly before he retired ......... only five handshakes from master to apprentice across almost 125 years
