Renting from Marston Properties
We provide flats for rent furnished, unfurnished and semi-furnished. We manage our own flats and houses, so if you see something suitable we can discuss it with you and make a quick decision. We don't need to consult an agent or landlord - all of the flats available to rent are our own.
There are no letting agents fees or third parties involved when you rent Marston Properties. No deposits or payments are required until we have agreed a suitable property for you.
Legal Information
If you decide to take a tenancy with us you will be offered an assured shorthold tenancy - known as an AST. The length of term will be agreed - usually six months to begin with that may the be renewed if both parties are happy.
Occupants paying rent will be named on the tenancy -all named tenants are jointly and severally responsible. That means if you are sharing & you decide to leave this effectively brings the tenancy to a close. Those remaining may re-apply if they wish to stay and find a replacement so that a new tenancy may begin
We will need to obtain a bank reference for each occupant and at least one other reference - employer, landlord, accountant or similar.
All tenancies are subject to two months written notice.
We usually take between 4 -6 weeks rental as deposit that will be held by the Deposit Protection Service .This is returnable at the end of the tenancy provided all rent is paid to date and the flat is left professionally cleaned as you found it.
