Gas hob not working properly

The most common cause for  a gas hob being reported as faulty is poor housekeeping. The rings or burners must be kept clean. If not the gas will burn unevenly and if left to clog up with grease will become less efficient. The ignition spark will also not work if it is allowed to clog with grease.
