WC is blocked ( water closet, toilet, loo is blocked)

If the loo is blocked and is failing to drain away please make sure this is understood and that it is not that it won;t flush which is usually how it is reported. We will attend if the WC or sewer is blocked. However it it is shown that inappropriate items have been flushed down the WC you may be charged

WC is overflowing

be careful to distingusih between the WC pan overflowing and the cistern overflowing. If the cistern is overflowing it will generally drain in to the WC pan. You can stop this by turning of theb water supply at the service valve ( quarter turn screw) a bucket of water can then be used to flush the WC as a temporary measure
